Good to know

Three currencies

Austria and Slovakia use the euro, the Czech Republic uses the koruna and Hungary the forint. Cards are widely accepted, but travellers should carry a little local cash for tips and small shops.

The brewery tour

The Staropramen tour includes a beer tasting. Soft drinks can be arranged for children and for travellers who do not drink alcohol.

The driver's day

Up to 11 hours a day, with no more than 9 hours at the wheel. Traffic, weather or opening days can change the order of visits.

Booking notes

Check-in times, triple rooms, air conditioning, early breakfasts, the Indian meal menu and trade fair dates work the same way on all our tours. Read the booking notes.

Questions agents ask

How much does this 8-day Prague, Vienna & Budapest tour cost?
It depends on the month, the hotels and the number of travellers, so we quote the Prague, Vienna & Budapest tour at net rates for your exact dates. Send us those details and the ages of any children.
Do we need one visa for this tour?
Yes. The Czech Republic, Austria, Slovakia and Hungary are all in the Schengen area, so one Schengen visa covers the whole tour. Travellers usually apply through the Czech Republic, where the group spends the most nights.
Can we add a classical concert or the thermal baths?
Yes. A Mozart or Strauss concert in Vienna and an evening at one of Budapest's thermal baths are both popular add-ons, and fit easily into the free time in this plan.
